Pastoral Letter

Dear Beloved Members in Christ,
As we approach the end of another year, we are reminded of
the significance of the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus
Christ. This sacred event is the unfolding of God’s eternal
plan—a demonstration of His unfathomable love, mercy, and
grace toward mankind.
The birth of Christ is when the Word became flesh in
Bethlehem, fulfilling God’s promise of a Redeemer. The
angels’ message of joy and salvation still inspires us
now.
As we reflect on this miracle, let us remember that through
Christ, we are offered forgiveness, a restored relationship
with our Creator, and the promise of eternal life. The joy
of Christmas radiates throughout the year, inspiring us to
live with gratitude, compassion, and faith.
Looking ahead to 2026, let us embrace a fresh perspective
rooted in the truths of the Gospel. The challenges of the
past may linger, and uncertainties may cloud the horizon,
but we are called to fix our eyes on Jesus—the Author and
Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He who was born in
Bethlehem is with us still, guiding, strengthening, and
empowering us to face each day with courage and hope.
Let us commit to carrying the spirit of Christ’s birth into
2026: love with intention, serve boldly, and forgive
wholeheartedly. Seek God’s wisdom daily, pursue His peace in
trials, and live with purpose. Encourage one another and
actively build a community marked by unity, humility, and
generosity.
As Christ’s body, step forward in 2026 to be a beacon of
light. Take up the call to share the Gospel in every
interaction, serve with compassion, and intentionally draw
others to the hope found in Jesus.
With heartfelt prayer, I urge each of you to step boldly
into the new year, inspired by the wonder of Christ’s birth.
Be intentional about growing spiritually, rise to the
mission before us, and let your faith shine through your
actions. GO SEC: BE INSPIRED FOR MISSION!

Joy Cometh in the Morning: Stanborough Park’s Annual Toy
Service
|
|
June Coombs
|
|
|
It is at Christmas time that want is most keenly felt,
and abundance rejoices. Charles Dickens wrote those words in his book ‘A
Christmas Carol’ during the autumn of 1843. Yet almost two
centuries later those words written in Victorian England
are, sadly, still true in the 21st Century. It is exactly
for this reason that members of Stanborough Park Church have
been donating toys every Christmas time for over 60 years so
that impoverished local families can still provide gifts for
their children, enabling them to have the same sort of
Christmas experience that their school friends enjoy.

|
|
Pastor Alex Mareniuc
|
|
|
On Sabbath 6 December, World Stewardship Day, the British
Union Conference and all its associated territories opened a
significant consultation, inviting every member to
participate. This is more than an administrative exercise -
it is an opportunity for our church family to thoughtfully
consider how we practise stewardship in our contemporary
context.

Pastor Christian Salcianu
|
|
With Christmas fast approaching, we would like to take this
opportunity to remind you that we have new and old resources
available free of charge for churches that desire to reach
people and share the message of hope in December.
While most of you will remember
The Innkeeper’s Story this year, we added a new
booklet, The Wise Man’s Journal. Both are written to
present the Christmas story in a modern, engaging, and
inspiring way.
We wholeheartedly encourage you to take advantage of these
valuable materials.
